Haha they'd better! I used balsa wood which is supposed to be very soft and easy to chew. I have parakeets and cockatiels and they prefer softer woods.

My goffin's would LOVE you! She's absolutely CRAZY for foot toys. I swear... we could take out every other toy in her cage, and just put a big bucket of foot toys in the bottom... and she would be entertained for months.

Haha I should send some to you! She would probably rip right through balsa wood though! I have cockatiels and parakeets so it is more of a challenge for them.

It would probably take her seconds! She's a parrot buzzzsaw. We recently spent 30 dollars on a 7 or 8 pound toy that's pretty much straight chunks of wood... and half of it is already littering the bottom of her cage!

Wow! What kind of wood was it? I am ordering a bunch of stuff from The Birdsafe Store and am getting a lot of toy making parts. They sell birch slices that might take her a while to go through. Then you could make your own toys. I love making toys and find it much more fun than buying them! The nice thing about their birch slices is they have that papery bark on the outside, which is really fun to shred.

I'm not sure what type... it was fairly thick... and was dyed in a few colors. I've seen the birch slices at my local pet shop... maybe I should try those. She's always so busy with her toys!
