I was not home at the time, my dad called me and said that he randomly fell off his perch in his cage. As I am rushing home to see what is going on he passed away just a few minutes before I got home in my dads hands. he was only 2 yrs. 9 months old. I went to the local bird store and they had suggested that it was a seizure or a heart attack. He was completely normal and had a great appetite and tons of energy. he loved to fly around my house and Nutri-berries were his "crack". I don't know exactly what provoked his sudden death but it's pretty sad to have my cuckoo buddy leave. now i have a quiet cage and dont want to rush into getting another bird. Quattro used to go all over with me to Dunkin Donuts, the pizza place and used to like sitting on my cupholder in my car (windows up, of coarse). ( i know it is not recommended to have a "free-flight" bird outdoors, but i took the risk occasionally and Quattro loved it)

I am so sorry for your loss. It's so sad losing a beloved pet. RIP Quattro!
