I've just got a 4 mounths old blue Alex. This is my 1st Alex so I'm bit nervous to not mess things up so I'd REALY aprichiate some tips/advice.
Got him this morning and hes just standing in the cage in one spot and looking around, also he seams to be frightend for some reason (might be the new location plus me but he was like that in the store too so...), also the cage is roughly 40cm long, 30 wide and 45cm high (think the one in the store was bit bigger).. Is there any way I can make him feel more at home?
P.S. Hes just staying in the cage untill he learns where the food and water are after that he'll be spending time in the cage only when he needs to eat/drink. But untill then, what to do?

Regardless, as suggested, give him time to settle in! Some birds adjust quickly, while others can take days, if not weeks. it's a huge change, and they may feel threatened or scared being in a new environment where nothing looks or sounds familiar.

The alexandrine hybrids may be healthier than their parent counterparts due to the genetic diversity, however this is lowered the more you breed back to one species (usually the alexandrines, to try and keep size). Not all hybrids are healthier than their parents, but being that the alexandrine hybrids are fertile and I have yet to hear of any health problems, I'd say that they are probably pretty healthy birds! --- Of course, this is with the assumption that you live in a country where they hybridize alexandrines to get the color mutations.
Oh btw, the cage does sound rather small for an alex... do you plan to upgrade the cage size? How's he doing today, and do we get pics?
