Ever been goosed? It HURTS!

It was the father that started across the street, to ensure safety, once the majority of the vehicles had passed. Since there was very little traffic, I urged them across to make sure they got to the other side safely, only to realize that they had no way around the fence... (Any traffic that did come towards us slowed and went around)
In this video; YouTube - Goslings on Oddie, you can see that I'm "following" them (more like herding/urging) on the side of the road to ensure they make it safely. All along the way, the mother kept trying to find places in which to go through the fence, and was unable to do so. I found one area that they all *could* have gone through, if the parents were smart enough to have seen the hole that was large enough for them to fit through (since they were *NOT* flying over the fence). Unfortunately, this proved fruitless. I was able to get the chicks to the other side, and the mother tried to follow, but unfortunately, just because her head could fit through the fence holes did not mean that her body could make it, too! So, it was back to herding them along!
Near the end of the journey, the father had had enough of me and physically assaulted me! He jumped up, wings out-spread, and yes, he attacked me! The parents were not happy that I was so close to them and were often hissing at me to keep my distance. Unfortunately for them, the area we had come to was where the dirt narrowed due to the street turn. We were near the corner of an intersection, and while trying to keep the family out of the street, I managed to get too close. The upper portion of my arm (bicep area) received the blunt of the attack and, I must say, I have a good amount of swelling just above the elbow with an obvious bruise forming. There's another area under neath of my arm but near my arm pit that also somehow managed to get bruised, and this particular bruise, although smaller, is darker (brighter? it's red) than the bruise near my elbow (blue/blackish).
There may have been a honk or two, and perhaps some words said to me on this journey down the side of the street. At the intersection stood a man with a card board sign and seeing my 'act of kindness' told me "That's beautiful". In the end, I managed to safely get the family around the fence, and off they headed to the safety of the pond!
I can literally say now, that I've been goosed! And yes, it hurts!
(PS, I was tempted to try and capture the parents and toss them over the fence, but had quickly decided otherwise. This was prior to the assault! I have decided that I'd rather wrestle a macaw or cockatoo over a goose! Or two...

I've also been goosed, and yes, it does hurt. We had some when I was a teenager, meanest things. They used to chase me, and one time even chased me onto my school bus
I don't blame them though, we ate their eggs.
