For easter, my Mom and Dad got me this basket filled with all kinds of things I needed for my new kitties... wet food, dry food, treats and some toys. I stuck the basket underneath my desk, and kept those things in it, along with a couple school papers I stuck over top of everything. Tonight, both kittens were doing what I thought was sleeping in the basket, curled up together on top of my papers. A few minutes later, kittens are gone, I find them totally buried in the basket. still seemingly sleeping... but I hear some chewing/ licking and decide to investigate further. They actually chewed through an entire bag of treats, and were hiding underneath everything having a huge feast!!! Over half the treats in the bag were eaten, and I'm probably going to have kitty diarrhea to deal with later. I swear, sometimes animals are too smart for their own good!
I have since removed the basket from my room so they can't gorge themselves on anything else. Now, they are hopelessly sitting in that same spot under my desk, just poking at all my textbooks and folders hoping more treats will be found!
An interesting evening...
