My cats must be strange, because they are terrified of my birds :/ I find that when I have all my animals out in the same room, I'm concerned more about the safety of the cats than my birds. If one of my birds gets startled and ends up on the floor, whatever cat that's near is sure to be chased... one of these days they're going to give the kitties a heart attack! I have to be especially careful of tails brushing against cages, because Remi will actually try to grab them that way... I wouldn't put it past her to bite with enough force to go right through an unsuspecting feline's tail... that being said, I keep my cats away from the caique's cage. It's isolated in my room, and because it's low to the ground it's just too dangerous. Luckily Lily doesn't bother the cats, and they don't bother her. Her cage is high enough off the ground that she wouldn't be able to reach a cat's tail from inside, either.
