She even likes to very slowly scritch her own head. It's so funny to watch.
She won't eat food from my hand, but she lets me put it on her head
This is my first pionus. I'm absolutely shocked with how quiet she is. For the first 3 days, she didn't make any noise at all except for this quiet chirp in her crate when I picked her up from the airport. Then she started making these really quiet cute noises, although she usually only makes them when we're outside or when she's calling to me. It's a huge change between my cockatiel and my conure having screaming contests with each other for most of the day.
I'm a little disappointed with how little she plays. She's really uninterested in her toys, which sucks because I bought oodles of brand new toys just for her and she hasn't even touched them. She really only likes to sit on the rope perch that's on top of her cage and either eat or groom herself. And holy cow does she ever eat A LOT.
She's taken a liking to me, which is good because she's my bird. When she isn't eating, she's usually trying to land on my head . For the first few days she liked sleeping on top of her cage so I left her there, but now I have to put her in the cage or else she'll try to fly to me in the dark since I'm usually playing my 3DS and my head is a nice illuminated landing spot for her .
