Hey guys and gals! This is my first post on the board and hopefully with my rant I don't turn to many people off but here goes.... for the last couple months I've been idly looking into tag or cag adoption as well as re home birds... I've got to say I don't understand where they come up with the prices they ask... on average an adopted bird of that size is 500..ok but there are rules and stipulations that pretty much reads the bird is not yours... so why would anyone adopt? For 700 a very spitfire 70 year old lady in south Carolina (breeder) will sell me a tag and 800 for a cag...now moving onto the re home... found on eBay classifieds a cag with cage for 1400 the cage that comes with is listed as a 400 dollar value and yes yes it was.written like that, which made me smile... but I guess what I'm trying to say is where do people come up with these prices... at any rate I'm looking for a cag or tag and I'm located in Virginia beach VA. Willing to drive tho. I really was hopping to help a bird in need of more attention but thus far my search has been a disappointing one full of scammers and people asking petshop prices for older routine set bonded birds. Any help in understanding would be nice, any help finding a new fid would be great. Sorry so long and winded....
