Senegal Cage Advice

This is the exact cage I have for my female senegal (very low energy)
And this is the cage I have for my male senegal (very HIGH energy)
I've had pet stores recommend to me that they can be in cages made for a cockatiel, but that's what I started Milo out in and it seemed way too small. Conure sizes seem to give them better climbing room and more space for lots of toys (LOTS!) but really the rule of thumb is buy as big as you can afford, keeping in mind to have appropriate bar spacing. If you must go with a smaller model, just make sure that they get plenty of outside play time so that they aren't always cooped up.

Good luck in finding a great cage for your future Sennie.

and he uses every inch of the cage. I'll find him climbing the sides, hanging upside down from the top and playing with his foot toys on the cage grate.
+1 for this! Mine is SO active and is always climbing or hanging off something, usually with one foot. The bigger the better!
