**Jump Jump, Sugar Lump**

A year after he died, I visited a nice local breeder who had some handfed babies. She had three females and one little male who seemed very nervous and jumpy. I had planned to get a male but was drawn to one of the females who seemed the most outgoing (i.e. stepping up happily and fluffing her little head up for scritches). Now I realize that I should have just gotten the male baby... he was probably only so nervous from having grown up with 3 big sisters.
The female baby I brought home was fine for awhile, very clingy. She needed to be either attached to a person or in her cage at all times or she would get nervous and plop to the floor (she was clipped) and run to the nearest person. And she could have her little head scritched all day. But now that she is older and more confident, she is a very difficult bird. For no reason at all, she will fly over and bite people. Or she will fly over and bite my GCC. In particular, she does not like it if I cuddle my GCC, and will fly over and try to bite both of us. Sometimes the biting seems aggressive, and other times it seems like she simply has trouble telling the difference between shirt (which she is welcome to chew on) and human flesh - she has an almost obsessive need to chew on whatever she's perched on.
