The sun conure used to preen him and love him and cuddle him when they were babies together... I have raised all of them together since they were barely a few weeks/months old and the tiel is the only one who's become like this. Personalities are personalities I guess.
On the other hand, the sun conure and ringneck still try to go be friends with the tiel regardless of his mean-spirits. Also, the conure and the ringneck get long amazingly and play together in each other's cages (and on my shoulders).
If you swing by my youtube page you can see some videos of them interacting, or being near each other when they were babies. I no longer allow them to be too close, as I don't want the tiel to provoke a horrible fight that could be avoided.
Oushi- sun conure
Riley- severe macaw (rest in peace-- liver disease claimed her short life :( )
Helix- blue indian ringneck
Ernie- congo african grey (Aspiring comedian)
Chocobo- greater vasa parrot
Napoleon- yellow collared macaw (Crybaby extraordinaire)
Pixie - blue & gold macaw

I truly do believe that every bird, like every human, will have a different personality. My tiel had never met another species of bird until 3 years ago when I got my conure and he was completely freaked out by her in the beginning. Like I said, him and her are the best of friends now. However my conure and IRN cannot and i mean CANNOT stand eachother. The silly thing is that my little GCC is the one who picks on the IRN. Hes a baby so hes still naive and doesn't try to attack her but she goes out of her way to try to get at him. If I lock him in his cage and have her out, she will fly to his cage and drag her beak back and forth on the cage bars. Yet my tiel and my conure have no issues, and my tiel and IRN have no issues either. I see my tiel being the guy in the middle with no issues with anyone. I just blamed it on him being old and senile...haha...hes not really but I don't think age has any issues with your tiel fighting with your conure. I just think its the bird.
So I guess to better answer the question that Bon243 has asked, I guess theres no good answer. I depends on the birds that you have and you can't guarantee anything.
