We've had Chocobo for about a year now. He's 1.5yrs old overall, and is becoming more cuddly and adventurous each day. What's funny is that he can beatbox, talk, and dance already.
He likes to whine alot, about anything that would normally just cause a small squawk from another parrot. Greater Vasa's seem to be overly-dramatic.... hence why I refer to Bo as a drama queen all the time in videos. What's interesting though, is they whine for more than just being dramatic. Chocobo will whine and mimic the baby neck-pumping motion on my fingers as I'm scratching his head/neck/feet/wings/jaw. It's like they communicate through whimpers because they can't find the proper noise to make. Hah.
Overall, the Greater Vasa is probably one of my favorite parrots in the world. Only trumped by the African Hybrid Whiteneck Raven (which obviously isn't a psitticine, but a corvid). I guess I admire the all-black look they have.
Also, I just posted another video of chocobo playing with a simple blanket.... and he goes crazy just running around near/on/in it.
