Can I supplement parents' feedings with handfeeding for 1 wk old cockatiel?

I'm concerned the youngest isn't getting it's fair share of feeding from the parents, simply because of the size & greediness of the older ones. He's always pushed to the back of the nesting box, although he may also be there for warmth reasons.
I've taken the little one out and have been able to feed him some formula from a dropper a couple of times. He's taken to it very quickly, and then I place him back in with his nest mates. He's only about a week old, eyes are still closed, but after the first couple of feedings, he seems like he's stronger and more active.
I've been careful with the temp of the formula, checking his crop, etc.... all the info out there to be read. I'd really still like to let the parents do most of the feeding, but don't want to set this little guy up for failure.
I work 12 hr nights several days in a row, and my husband works long days, so there's really no way we can take on this handfeeding fulltime. Is it feasible to just do these supplemental feedings until this little one gets older?
Thanks for any help!

What you are asking about isn't really unfeasible. Look up "parrot co-parenting" for some more information!

With my babies, I don't know how the parents can even FIND the youngest one since its usually at the bottom of a chick pile. But they do find it and feed it well.

I've read a bit on the co-parenting, and it seems like a feasible compromise for us. I've fed the little one a couple of times a day, checking him also throughout the day as possible, to see if his crop is full from the parents' feeding him. Today he seems to be MUCH stronger, more active, and able to get his head above the backs of his bigger siblings!
I'll keep an eye on him...but so far, it seems the parents are doing a great job!
