I just thought I should pop in and say Kia Ora (Its Maori for Hello)
I have had a few Fids over the years starting with Budgies then Cockatiels and onto Ringnecks.
My new Fid is Tequila s/he is an IRN
S/he is still at the breeders but is due to come to me around the 26th of this month.
I havent had a Fid for about 18 months and am so excited and cant wait for Tequila's arrival.

I have a length of wire along the ground and his chain was attached to that. It wouldnt be to hard to set one up for Tequila lol. I am lucky in that I like to fish so I know some really awesome fishing knots that will hold up well to being used in this situation. I dont know if I would let him have time outside like that unless im right there next to him cos of the neighbourhood cats. They have tried to get our rabbits and guinea pig.

Birds who are free-flight trained (not that I'm recommending this to most people) and know some evasive maneuvers probably stand a better chance against birds of prey than birds who are, more or less, 'sitting ducks'.
