My new baby Tequila

Just thought I would jump in here as well and say hi and introduce you all to my new baby Tequila.
He (as yet unsexed but saying he is easier) is still at the breeders but is due to come to me in less than 3 weeks. I am so excited and looking forward to having another IRN (last one escaped out the cage, out the open door and took off). Its been over 18 months since I have had one and am missing having one around lol.

Yeah our cage select over here kinda sucks all the really super awesome cages are all REALLY REALLY expensive and in most cases out of reach for some on a limit budget unless they use time payment and then in some cases the stores dont give enough time to pay it.

When I see open top cages like that, I highly advice either keeping the top closed in such a way that it *cannot* be opened or manipulated from the inside, or find a way to keep it safely closed when not in use, and find another method (besides the perch - such as some locking system) to keep it open while in use. I have a similar cage that I got used, and the top came zip tied together. Never bothered to remove those ties. I've since upgraded the birds cage, so it's in storage if I ever need it, but will probably end up tossing it instead.
Knowing that you'll be extra cautious with the cage top does help calm my nerves some!
