Hi all,

My name is Meredith. I am new to the forum and hoping to get some help with taming/training my newest bird. I have tamed 3 parakeets and handraised a cockatiel before, so I do have a tiny bit of experience. The parakeets have all passed on (had them when I was young) and the cockatiel stayed with my parents when I moved out 10 years ago lol! They wouldn't let me take him!

I have a 10 month old quaker. I got him a week ago, and he is NOT a happy camper :( I got him at a reduced price from a local breeder who is gearing up for this years babies and wanted to get him out of the 'way'... She described him as 'flighty'; I would describe him as downright aggressive :( I believe this breeder spent most of her 'hands on' time with the bigger birds and just left the little ones to their own devices....

I really do think that he and I can get to be friends though :) So I am here to get tips!

Yes, congratulations. I love Quakers. Have you read up on behavior etc?
I would try behaviorworks.com and the http://www.qp-societ.../RAPPindex.html
