Safe meats for birds?

I have an IRN and want to be able to give a wide and varied diet so want to make sure my list is good. I have a safe and toxic food list that covers fruits, veges and plants but it doesnt talk about meats hence my asking.

And, red meat isn't good for humans, and it's not at all lean. I would not feed -any- animal red meat, with the exception of something like a lion, in which case it would be a species similar to what they eat in the wild.

As far as parrots being cannibals when they eat chicken, I read once that taxonimically, parrots eating chicken (both birds) is no different than humans eating beef or pork (both mammals).

What about turkey? And does it have to be straight off the bone? I was wondering if little pieces of sandwich/deli turkey/chicken would work, or is there too much salt? deli meats would have too much salt and nasty preservatives.
and, as for it being like humans eating beef or pork, you're fairly right about that. although, the whole thing grosses me out frankly (especially considering i'm a staunch vegetarian myself ).
Spread the word. Change the destiny of billions of helpless animals.
