Parrots don't typically start getting loud until they get older, so just wait on that one!
I've often read to *not* use a parrots main diet as treats, as this could confuse them, however I've often done this with my dog (anything by hand is a treat!) and my mitred conure (easier to use tiny pellets than seeds since it takes him a while to open up a seed to eat it, and he wont eat hulled sunflower seeds or nut pieces). Then again, we often encourage parrots to forage for their food and/or treats, which is essentially working to eat them. Maybe it's a bad idea, but it's not that far of a leap to go from foraging for their food to using that same food as a training treat, as long as the bird isn't already full of food to begin with!
