Ok so for the past weeks I've been trying to feed Quincy(sun conure) different kinds of foods. For the most of it(almost all the food I prepared for him), he wouldn't even bother to try them. There would be times that he would try and eat it, and this is when I take him out of his cage. I would hold the bowl and he will be perching on my hand. After some time and a little nudging, he would start to taste them and if the heavens are on my side, he would eat.
Just now he's on my hand eating oatmeal. I left it inside his cage for about 5-10 mins and he didn't even bother going in front of the bowl. When I took him out, he started eating it.
Not really sure if this is the reason why he's trying new food, but I think that this IS a breakthrough
Parrot trying new foods already!
