Hey all,
I recently got 2 young canaries, about 1,5 months old.
One is a boy and one is a girl... And due to their similarity in color and pattern, i think they're related, so i separated them (they used to be kept in the same cage) to prevent inbreeding.

Somehow I felt they're a little "upset", they didn't chirp after separation even though their cages are next to each other, in the same room.

I plan on taming them first, is it okay if they're in the same room? Some people said it would boost their confidence... Or maybe I should put them together? But then I have to separate them again after they've matured which means it would stress them...

I also have this one previous female canary which I've already tamed, maybe after the new birds' quarantine is over she can help me tame them?

The picture shows the two in travel cage, before separation. Their new cages is spacious...

I wouldn't put them together or even near each other until they are tame, it's hard to tame them when they have friends to keep them company
