Now i had birds as a kid, but since been reluctant as the thought of them in a cage makes me feel too guilty. However, on this occasion the alternative was not good.
Now many days i leave his door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He goes back in by himself and i cover his cage at night. He does seem to be in a routine though of sitting by his door waiting to be let out in the morning. By giving him so much freedom, am I making him feel more trapped when in his cage? Or am i just over thinking this?
