Introducing a conure to lovebird ...?

I've had a lovebird for one year (he's about a year and 3 months old, so still a bit young I guess) and he's super attached to me. It's just him and myself who live together so he's bonded really well, always wants to be with me, etc. I'm considering getting a conure (I've found a four month old baby male who's being rehomed) and I'm quite uncertain how my lovebird will react.
When he hears other birds he gets really curious, and if I watch a video of another bird online he gets really excited trying to find out who the bird is. So I'm inclined to believe he'd be open to having another bird around? There's also a possibility he'll be super jealous that he's not the #1 bird anymore. Also, do you suppose he might really like this new bird and start ignoring me? I love my birdy and wouldn't want to lose the bond that we have developed.
Anyone have experience with getting a second parrot?

Lovebirds, especially peach face lovebirds, are notorious for biting and attacking other birds. It doesn't matter if it's a budgie or an umbrella cockatoo, they have no fear! Conures on the other hand typically swing either way. They may *love* a new companion, or hate them. My cherry headed conure (RIP) got along just fine with a cockatiel! My mitred conure, prior to bringing him home, was buddies with a lilac crowned amazon, but tried to bully a blind ruby macaw and got the short end of the stick. The two conures never got along, even though there was *some* desire.
In short, if you plan on adopting/buying the conure, plan to have to house your conure and lovebird separately for their entire lives! It's possible that one could hurt the other. If you're lucky though, they may get along superbly!

It's my humble opinion that a Lovebird never wants a second parrot. Especially not a Conure who can answer back to the Lovebird trying to trash-talk him.
I love that comment!! It made me and Zombiiie laugh. Zombiiie and I sit and trash talk each other for fun every now and then and I can atest to the fact that conures do mouth back to any thing and any one!! If a lovebird isnt going to like the rebuttle abilites that may be an issue.
