It wouldn't hurt to start researching different breeders now and choosing one to purchase from when the birds start to breed! If you don't know much about green cheek care, then a great breeder will be able to help you along the way before you purchase the bird!

It's not just the financial commitment of vet visits and food and housing but the persoal investment of your self and time daily. If you want your bird as a companion as they are companion birds then you must be a companion just as you would be to your own child.
Consider that above all things first because the last thing the world needs is another unwanted troubled Parrot because someone thought it would be cool to want one for a while. Just say-in!
