Be sure to ask the a-vet about proper diet!
Plastic perches, although easy to clean, aren't necessarily good for their feet. Natural perches and rope perches are a better option. Also, get her a variety of toys! Chewable toys, shiny toys, foraging toys, etc! Although I do recommend staying away from mirrors!

as for advice:
-give her lots of love, affection, and attention daily and she will thrive. this includes many hours out of her cage each day and interacting with her human companions. believe me, you - both - will be rewarded.
-a good diet consisting of mostly seed, some pellet, fresh fruits and veg.
-lots of toys alternated routinely. like Monica mentioned, avoid mirrors.
-do not provide grit. and, no need to provide cuttlebones, etc. as long as she has a healthy diet.
-allow her to fly in a room that's secure (doors and windows closed) and safe (mirrors and windows are covered and other hazards are removed).
-remove all heated teflon/non-stick objects and other hazards from the house.
-etc. that can be found in previous posts.
good luck and please update every once in a while so we can see how she's doing.
