Maybe someone that keeps lovies can give us more insight on this, but I always err on the side of caution.
Have a great weekend!

It is possible to house lovebirds and budgies together, though the lovebird would have to be friendly with budgies in the first place, possibly even raised with budgies, however, most people are too afraid that the lovebirds might cause too much harm and actually kill the budgies. I've only seen two peachfaced lovebirds getting along with nonlovebirds... One picture here, with a lovebird and a conure, and on a website last year or before, with a lovebird and a small flock of budgies. It's these rare occasions where its a surprise to everyone.
I highly advice not putting any lovebirds with budgies or any other bird not of their own kind.

Best to keep hookbills with the like, and softbills (non-hookbills) with eachother... Mainly saying best to keept parrots with parrots, and non-parrots with other non-parrot species...
Budgies are best kept with grass parakeets, and cockatiels, if you want to house them with other birds.
Finches are best to be kept with other finches, canaries, and possibly even grass parakeets (bourkes, scarlets, turqoisines, etc), however, not to be housed with any other type of parrot...
