Actually we are naming her Greycie...but thats another issue. Now that I have George, my lovely little senegal. My wife still wants her Grey. The person who sold me George gave me the name of a breeder friend of hers who has Timnehs ready to go home in another month. We will be going to see the baby next weekend and all things being right we will be taking her home once properly weaned.
Having dealt with rescues and foster work most of my bird loving life Im a bit out of my element with a baby so please hit me up with any and all considerations I need to make for bringing her home and providing a proper environment. Food, housing etc. To start she will be in the cage from my late amazon (after a thourough scrubbing) it is 36Hx36Wx24D will this be ok? This will be temporary as we are planning on a custom divided cage for the 2 to share as soon as we can afford it. Should perches be kept lower to the ground until she develops good balance?
I could list questions for days on end, I will be doing alot of research in the next month but please feel free to overload me with anything I may need to know about caring for and socializing a baby.
George may get his Gracie
