Of course ya don't annoy anyone with your questions. That really isn't even info. that is considered basic knowledge.
I believe the answer is that it is ok to give them the peppers as I've heard or read that they don't taste them the way we do and I'm almost positive that it doesn't upset their digestion etc......I know ya see the dried ones in seed mixes all the time.....but do wait till you get more responses. I wish I had the time to look it up myself for you. You may want to eventually gets some bird manuals or quality type info. books to have around although I do understand not really practical if ya only have a bird or two.

Also a good idea to join a few other bird forums for answers to these questions. Just don't leave us or we will find ya and from then on ya will have to drag a ball & a chain wherever ya go .
Land of Vos is a good site dedicated to Eclectus but info. like that can be found at almost any species specific site. Then ya also have Nancy's site too.

WARNING: Do NOT kiss your bird after he/she has eatin a hot pepper. This may lead to hot burning lips that feel like they are on fire.
Have fun! And great to hear about the new addition!
