Conure Cage

is 1/2in by 1/2in wire suitable for a conure cage?

It would depend on the type of conure (they range in size from slightly larger than a budgie to a small macaw) but 1/2" would probably be fine. If you are getting wire mesh, either get stainless steel, or GAW (galvanized after welding) mesh and wash down with a vinegar mix to remove any zinc that might be on the wire..

If you scrubbed the cage down with vinegar or a mix of vinegar and water (50/50) and made sure it was clean, then I say it looks great! I just hope the conure doesn't take to chewing the wood!

Oh, and you've got a really cute budgie! What's her name?

Yea i cleaned it and its a temporary cage for the conure until i can afford a nice one eventually my budgie "killer" (found it funny) will get it

You could look into making a larger cage for your conure, but either way its a good temporary cage!

Oh, and wanted to ask, what type of conure?

I do notice that you seem to have just dowel perches in there. Maybe you are planning on getting others, but I suggest you just throw those out completely. They are not good on parrot feet! Other than that it looks great- very well built!
