Brian, don't expect a simple wing clipping to change the birds into stay-put lovable obedient little pets immediately. It usually takes patience, rewards, gentle stroking and soft talk IME & IMO. You need to handle them as much as possible but do give them time to digest some of their food after the main morning and late afternoon meals first.......... Try to eliminate all stress factors in the area when you are holding them such as dogs or cats nearby, children wanting to hold, pet, play with them etc., loud music or T.V. etc. etc.........Will be more difficult to finger train/hand-tame them both together at the same time. Best IMO to take one out at a time to an area that it can't hear the other and the taming process will go quicker IME. Also age plays a big factor here. If they are older birds it may take loads of work to tame them down and maybe you will not be successful anyway. Better chance if they are young.....Good luck.
