There was a young male Aussie King at a store around here for well over a year.
I visited him often & really wished we could have added him to our family.(IMHO, the price was way
too high & the manager was a jerk).
The bird finally
found a home, but only after he was sent to another store. LOL! as proof to the unreasonable mindset of that manager - the bird was bought by someone that used to work at the store he was at for so long. She had tried to work out some deal or payment scheme for quite a while, but that jerk boss just kept saying NO.
Sad that the bird had to be transferred to another store for it to get to a good home.
So far, every single Aussie King I've ever met has been a very friendly bird. They're very smart, capable of talking, not velco, but love attention from their people.
Of course the first attractor is that beautiful plumage.
Ya know, I can't even think the 2 words "Beautiful Plumage" anymore without having the theme from Monty Python suddenly started playing in my head.
(LOL! "Beautiful Plumage on the Norwegian Blue!" & the sound fades from my mind just before it goes into the "Lumberjack" skit.
That magnificent coat of brilliant Red, Green & Blue primary colors on the male is a real eyecatcher.
