I have recently put a deposit on a Keel Billed Toucan egg. Even with Toucan Jungle's competitive price, Toucan's are very expensive so I wanted to see the Aviary where the bird will come from. So I flew to California and found myself impressed with Chris Estep's Aviary. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. For those that are interested I took my video camera when I went and posted a video of Chris's Aviary on YouTube

I would feel free to call Chris with any questions you might have about your Keel Billed toucan. Very few people know these birds and I would recommend talking directly with a breeder. They are very hard to come by and to this date I am still waiting on an egg. It is very common to put a deposit on a Toucan egg months before it is even laid!

Also, those toucans want the people to go away. Are they ever "successful" in raising chicks? Without one or two successess on their part they will live their lives feeling like humans are predators of their young and they can never raise anthing and considering that is all they have to do there, I wonder how well off they really are?
