Just a quick post to ask a quick question!
Recently Luen has picked up a rather annoying habit; whining! He makes this annoying noise, like a small child throwing a tantrum. Sort of like a 'nyeeeeeeee!' in a nasal child-like voice. Jack and I don't make the noise... we don't live with or near children...
It's not bothering us much, as a matter of fact it makes us laugh because he tends to do it when I leave his sight (which I consider an improvement on the screaming he used to do)... Particularly if I walk into the ensuite bathroom (he is kept in our bedroom). It seems fitting that he now whines in a child-like manner.
Anyway, so onto the questions.
Is this a fairly normal thing to develop? Have you ever had a bird (particularly a 'too) make a noise you could not for the life of you explain? Is this a fairly normal 'too vocalisation? I'll admit I've not heard the wild birds make it, but they hardly ever seem to need to whine XD
I get the feeling I'll have to upload a video to properly explain the noise... but my camcorder's dead so I'd have to use the camera on my phone.
I ask Aussies because he's an Aussie bird, and it makes sense to ask those with the most experience with Aussie birds XD I suppose I could have posted to the 'too board, but maybe it's not a 'too exclusive behaviour.
Anyway, </rambling> :}

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
