I love my Senegal Fidrych. I am curious about bigger birds, but my wife has made it clear that she does not want anyone bigger than Fidrych in the house! :)

I like my bigger birds like the boys (Merlin, Arthur and Bogey) but then I have such a soft spot for my cockatiels too. Personally I just like something a bit chunkier that I can see easily when shutting the dishwasher, fridge or whatever else they've gone to investigate. I haven't got the set up for a large macaw but still got to love them, just from a distance.

I have birds, that's probably why I'm here

I like a bigger bird. I find that they are a bit easier. My Dharma is just so little that I think sometimes she is very fragile compared to the other two.

I have slowly become a big bird person - I dont know why but I just adore the bigger birds (Neko is considered a big bird to me, but our completed flock will include a Hahn's and grey one day). I love all birds but the bigger ones just strike a chord in me - something I never thought Id say!!!

Interesting question!

I picked small b/c most of my experience has been with smaller parrots (budgies, lovies and brotos). If and when I decide to add to my flock, I think that it will likely be another small parrot (linnie or conure).

I love the larger birds but I just don't see myself having a macaw or cockatoo in my lifetime. Maybe a poicephalus, pionus or grey, though!

Beetle, Peach-faced lovebird (agapornis). 8/6/05 - 8/28/07. Always in my heart.

You need to put another size in there- there is a big difference between Zoey (M2) and Jude (CAG). Well, *I* think there is. I would class Zoey with the macaws I think...and she's even small for a M2.
I'd put Greys with the medium, amazons too. but that's just me... Maybe its just after being bitten by a large too you always see them as really big after that!

Hmm... the bigger the bird, the bigger the mess - lol! The big ones are certainly beautiful, but also have a bigger beak - ouch! :) I guess I prefer Senegal and Grey sizes... no bigger. The tiny ones are cute, but I'd worry that I'd accidentally hurt them. My dogs may think they are a snack - kidding!

Did you know, that there are more parrots in captivity, than there are in the wild? Or that a parrot is on average rehomed FIVE times throughout its life?

Give a rescued bird a second chance, and adopt your (next) family member!

The little guys are easier. The larger are more demanding and bigger than life.

Smaller birds are more fitting for my play style, lol. I have yet to seriously interact with a macaw, but I always look at them in longing.

I like medium and large birds. Macaws scare me, even though they are gorgeous, and cockatoos and me are just... enemies... LOL.
But I love amazon and greys, but I like the medium sized birds best.
And Kyo! But I'd say she is medium... she is already bigger than my friends GCC... LOL

I kind of prefer the medium-sized birds, but large birds are fine too. So are small birds. However, when I imagine myself with the bird of my dreams, it's a bird like a Myer's or a Senegal, not an African Grey or a conure.
