The oil spill is devastating to all. To see the pictures of the birds affected on the news is just sickening. Its really sad and unbelievable that the oil companies don't prepare better for these kinds of emergencies. We just have to pray that this will get better. Our environment will suffer for many years to come because of the carelessness of BP.
I agree, Midori0413! This big oil gusher, which, imho, is entirely man-made, has not only killed off all kinds of beautiful birds and other wildlife, as well as plantlife (I, too, found the photographs of oil-soaked and/or dead birds hearty-rending), but it's permanently destroyed, if not killed the Gulf and ecosystems, which have sustained other forms of life, outright, but has destroyed the lives, livelihoods, health, welfare and well-being of thousands, if not millions of people residing in the Gulf area, not to mention the killing of 11 oil rig workers. Not to get into a whole big schpiiel about all this, but BP and this current Administration in Washington both have their fingerprints all over this thing! I give neither of them a pass for what they did. It's inexcusable, and unforgiveable, imho.

And now,ANOTHER oil rig fire in the Gulf. God help us all....
Disgusting, isn't it? This Administration, like the preceding ones, is entirely too cavalier and free-wheeling when it comes to the environment, the eco-systems, wildlife(including beautiful birds), and the overall health, lives, livelihoods, welfare and well-being of human beings. It's sickening. There's no accountability any more.
