we are deeply saddened by the loss of the little rose breasted cockatoo, Sir Dusty Rose, who through his torment has touched many lives. Now he is experiencing a true kind of freedom that we cannot yet understand. I made a memorial for his parents to have as a keepsake to always remember their baby. I hope you enjoy it too.

The following video does contain graphic images and content, so please take this into consideration before watching:

Ah, jeez... Trying sooo hard not to cry at that dang video... I'm sure the sadness I feel is nothing in comparison to yours nor Dusty's parents... Wonderful song as well, I've always considered the song a very important contribution to memorial videos. Wonderful, wonderful. Fly free Dusty!

Oh Anna, my kleenex box is empty. When he rain across the floor to you and stepped up was so wonderful! My husband had to hold me after seeing this.
It is an absolutely beautiful tribute for a tiny tortured soul. The song is perfect.
Hugs to you and Sir Dusty's parents.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
Without the words,
And never stops at all.

Thank you Teresa for the beautiful Siggie!

I was teary before I ever clicked the link... Anna, that was a beautiful tribute! I'm sure that his parronts will appreciate having it! No doubt they loved him so much. It's clear when you look at the perfectly fine birds being rehomed daily... and then look at what all they tried and did for this troubled little guy. I had that same overwhelming feeling watching him run to you to step up. He loved you. I do believe that he knew 100% what both you and his parronts tried to do for him. You are one of those people, Anna, who touch every life you encounter and leave an imprint that will never be forgotten. Thank you for what you do!

Sir Dusty Rose, fly free and high now with new wings and peaceful mind. Such a light in your eyes, pure proof that something that innocent must live on and on. The whole world is yours now, sweet boy.... be happy.

I'm so sad he's gone, but so happy for the love and caring he experienced while he was with us. He is in a place now where none of his troubles follow him.

Fly free, Sir Dusty! You have many beloved friends waiting to play with you at the Rainbow Bridge.
