Need to rehome my sun conure and jenday conure - Southern California
Posted 02 August 2010 - 07:20 AM
I do not know the sex of the birds. The Sun Conures name is Bart (my son named it-he's 8), the Jenday's name is Skittles. They do know their names. Bart (Sun Conure) knows "step up" and he gives kisses. Sometimes he gets a little fiesty and bites a little too hard. They are wonderful, wonderful babies! I don't want to rehome them. I have no choice due to unforeseen circumstances. This is the last thing I wanted to do. They are my babies. They are used to being around cats, kids, and a chihuhua. My cats don't bother them. Bart walks around on the bed with the cats right there. He lets them know to not bother him and they don't. They are used to getting fruit daily...grapes, apples, peaches, and watermelon mostly cut in very small pieces. Bart will try to steal food from your plate sometimes too. I think he thinks he is a dog sometimes. He is very entertaining to say the least. They love having their cage by a window all day as well. They will sit and sing/chirp while looking out the window.
I live in Southern California, in La Quinta, just east of Palm Springs. If you are interested, please let me know. This is heartbreaking. The cage, food, toys etc...are all included. I think they need a bigger cage, but the cage I have came with the Jenday. I was planning on upgrading. They are only in it to sleep though, for me. I let them out when I get up and they go to bed around 8:30 p.m., cage covered. They are used to the tv on when I go somewhere as well.
I will post pictures once I figure out how to do that or you can contact me and I will email some to you.
