P.S. Glad you like the name Murphy -- from the moment I saw him he just seemed like a Murphy to me. AKA the Murph-man.
However, I have a four year old daughter who was (ahem) strongly in favor of other choices, so we compromised and, as she tells anyone who comes over, "His real name is Murphy Paddy Candy Corn Beak, but we just call him Murphy for short"! lol!

Here is a picture from Shades Eclectus that gives you a good idea of subspecies beak differences:
Sometimes the lighting when pictures are taken also makes beaks look different than they do in person/bird. Here's a picture of two of my guys taken a couple months ago when Sweigh was 6 months old. You can see that in his case the entire upper half of his beak is still dark. That's just how his is developing. His dad, LaFitte is on the right in the picture and his beak looks quite dark orange in that pic, because of the lighting, but note that it still doesn't have the reddish orange hue that RS males have.
In my siggie picture, the male flying is Sailor who was about 8 months old at the time and look how light his beak was already. But, the upper portion hadn't become very orange yet then, whereas it is now... but light orange, not dark, as is correct for SIE. Here he is now at 13 months.
