Will do this when I have a couple of spare hours. :P
I've been around birds since toddler hood. Started breeding budgies at about 8-9yo.
Nowadays have a few aviaries and breeding various parrots for the companion market. I'm always wanting to learn and have a real interest in the behaviour area and captive foraging. Barbara Heidenreich and Susan Friedman (was lucky to meet both at a conference in 2008) are 2 of my influences.
My breeding philosophy is to do it right, the birds needs come first (limiting breeding where possible, make sure birds are at peak condition) and provide information and follow up for all new owners.
I write the odd article for Australian Birdkeeper magazine, something I really enjoy. I'm also very intetested in what is happening OS in regards to conservation, breeding and products for companion parrots.
I'd like to eventually end up more in the behavioural field but will always have a few birds that I'm breeding. I enjoy it and love hearing back from the owners as to how my past babes are developing.
Watson please explain to me in small words exactly what has been said wrong in this thread. A few points have been made, again, because you know what, things aren't getting sorted in what I would see as a timely manner. If these issues were gotten onto instead of quarantined for however long then I may take it seriously that that forum actually has a future and that Kevin gives a rats about the issues involved. instead what I see is, yeah yeah after the server upgrade. People make a forum, the technology just gives the avenue.
