Master's Level Social Worker. Have been interest in birds since grade school: tame & wild
City / State / Country Location
Artist; Gardening; all living creatures :)
Psychiatric/medical social worker
Had to look up what a fid was.
LB (Lucky Boot) was rescued/found last August (2009) by a co-worker of my husband in the middle of nowhere at the electric company they all work for, just fresh out of the nest box I could tell. He's my baby. A grey recessive-pied.
The other 4 I re-homed last Sunday (600mi round trip). Two males & two females. All look about a year old. One female/male have paired up. I bought a huge new cage to combine all of them after a period of quarantine. LB invited himself into their cage this morning and made himself at home.........the youngest one! He was so quiet and sweet, I was afraid they wouldn't accept him. It's so funny....he's made friends with the youngest male and lowest of the pecking order (a cinnamon green baby around LB's age it looks like), and now someone to feed and play kissee-face with instead of his mirror.
Master's level social worker (psychiatric/medical); married.Have been involved with birds as pets or raising orphans (as an adult) (wild/tame) since grade school, and have also raised other orphaned animals. Hobby is gardening and anything creative. Three stray cats have adopted us. Husband has two dachshunds. I have one (blind) wire-hair fox terrier.
What other type of pets do you own?
